Free dental marketing tools

Three quick tools to answer the questions practice owners ask most: how do we compare with the practices around us, is our marketing paying for itself, and is our website holding us back? The competition data comes from 7,300+ practices in Dent Directory.

Local competition checker

See how your Google rating and review count compare with every practice in your neighborhood, and how many reviews it takes to reach the top three.

Based on Dent Directory's data from public Google listings. Map pack rankings also depend on distance, relevance and your profile, so review count is one strong signal among several.

Find out what your marketing actually produces

The starting numbers are examples, not benchmarks: replace them with your own. First-year value is the average production from a new patient in their first twelve months (exam, hygiene, treatment). Your practice management software can usually report it.

Website & Google check

Open Google's own speed, structured data and indexing tests for your website, and see your Maps listing as patients do.

These open Google's own free tools in a new tab. A low mobile score, missing Dentist schema or fewer indexed pages than you expect are the most common problems behind weak rankings.

Who you'll work with

Sobhan, dental SEO & marketing specialist

I'm Sobhan, a marketing specialist who works only with dental practices. For the past three years every site, Google profile and campaign I've worked on has belonged to a dentist, an orthodontist or a dental specialist.

I also built and run Dent Directory, the independent directory you're on right now. It tracks the Google ratings, review volume, hours and treatments of thousands of practices, which is why my audits start from real local data instead of guesses.

You deal with me directly, not an account manager. Questions before you commit? Message me on WhatsApp, Telegram (@SobhanSEO) or email [email protected].

Free tools FAQs

Where does the competition data come from?

From Dent Directory, which tracks public Google listings of dental practices across Los Angeles, Orange County, Ventura County, Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth: ratings, review counts, hours and treatments, refreshed as the directory updates.

My area isn't in the checker. Can I still use it?

The checker covers the markets in the directory. If your practice is elsewhere, request a free audit and I'll pull the same comparison for your neighborhood by hand.

Do I need to sign up or enter my email?

No. Every tool works instantly in your browser and nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.

What counts as the value of a new patient?

The average production from a new patient in their first twelve months: the exam, hygiene visits and any treatment they accept. Most practice management systems can report it, and it is the honest number to judge marketing against.

Is review count really that important for Google Maps?

It is one of the strongest signals you control, alongside relevance (categories, services, website content) and distance. Reviews also decide which practice patients call once they see the map, so they pay off twice.
