What we collect from visitors

Browsing this site requires no account. Our own analytics record page views and anonymous actions such as tapping a practice’s phone number, booking link, website or directions button, with the time, the kind of device, the website that referred you and your country. We use no cookies for this: visitors are counted with an anonymous code that changes every day and can’t be traced back to you or your IP address. Practices may see these anonymous counts in their listing reports. If you email us, we keep the email to answer it.

Forms, chat and spam protection

Messages sent through our contact form, the free SEO audit form or the Tooth Pain Helper’s “ask our team” form go to a private inbox that only our team can see. We use them only to reply, and never sell or share them. The Tooth Pain Helper chat keeps an anonymous log (the first question of a conversation with emails and phone numbers removed, the urgency it suggested and the area searched) to improve the service and our content; please don’t type personal or medical record details into it. If you share your location to find nearby dentists, it’s used once for that search and not stored. When the AI mode is on, chat messages (and images uploaded to the X-ray analyzer) are sent to our AI provider, OpenRouter, which passes them to a free AI model (currently open models such as NVIDIA Nemotron, Google Gemma and Dots) to write the reply. The companies that host free models may keep what is sent to them and use it to improve their models, so please don’t include your name or other identifying details. Our “I’m not a robot” check (ALTCHA) runs in your browser and sets no cookies.

X-ray analyzer images

Images you upload to the AI X-ray analyzer are resized and enhanced in your browser, then analyzed in memory and discarded as soon as your report is returned. We never save them to disk, link them to you or use them for anything else. As a safety net, our server automatically deletes any temporary upload data older than one hour. The image is read by a free AI model through OpenRouter, and the model’s host may keep what it receives under its own policy. The report’s follow-up chat receives only the written report, not the image. Please crop out names or ID numbers before uploading.

Business listing data

Practice listings (names, addresses, phone numbers, ratings) are business information compiled from public sources. Review summaries paraphrase public reviews in aggregate and never name reviewers. Practices can request corrections or removal of closed listings at [email protected].

Cookies & ads

Sponsored placements are sold directly and don’t require tracking cookies. If a third-party ad network is ever added, this policy and the cookie banner will be updated first.
