Sedation Dentistry in San Pedro

We list 3 San Pedro practices where recent patient reviews specifically describe sedation dentistry, led by Groat Pediatric Dentistry with 5 stars across 339 Google reviews. The full ranked list is above, and each profile includes a summary of what patients report.

Nitrous oxide typically adds $50 to $200, oral sedation $250 to $600, and IV sedation $500 to $1,000 per hour on top of the dental work itself. Insurance rarely covers sedation for routine care, so ask for the sedation line as a separate written number when comparing quotes.

Nitrous works for mild nerves and wears off before you drive home. Oral sedation suits moderate anxiety and longer visits but needs a ride. IV sedation fits severe phobia, long surgical cases and strong gag reflexes, and requires an office with the proper permit. Describe your worst appointment honestly and a good office will match the level to it.

Pricing in San Pedro generally tracks the citywide ranges on our Sedation Dentistry guide. Westside offices tend to sit near the top of those ranges while offices further east and in the Valley often come in lower. Always ask for a written treatment plan with the total case price before agreeing.
