Dr. Nima Pahlavan is a board-certified head and neck surgeon and dentist, and one of the founding members of Faces of Tomorrow. He currently serves as Chief of Head and Neck Surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento and is also a member of the Craniofacial Panel at Kaiser Permanente.
Dr. Pahlavan earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, followed by his dental degree from the University of the Pacific. During his dental training, he developed a strong interest in head and neck diseases and the treatment of patients with craniofacial disorders, which inspired him to pursue a medical degree.
He went on to attend medical school at Tulane University and completed his residency in Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, Davis. Throughout his career, Dr. Pahlavan has remained deeply involved in surgical cleft and craniofacial mission work.
As a founding member and mission surgeon for Faces of Tomorrow, Dr. Pahlavan has participated in every medical mission organized by the team. He is passionate about helping children and families in need through life-changing surgical care and considers humanitarian cleft missions to be one of the most meaningful and rewarding parts of his life.
